CPSC announced recalls in 2026 for camping-relevant gear including a rechargeable lantern, a portable power station, portable generators, a camp chair, a cooler, a camping knife, insulated food jars and bottles, a portable camping shower and a propane fireplace insert. Each recall covers only the specific models listed by CPSC. Check your gear against the official CPSC notice before your next trip.

Why it matters
- ✓Recalls cover specific models, date codes and lot numbers; checking the CPSC notice is the only way to know whether your item is included.
- ✓Several of these recalls involve fire, burn or fuel-leak hazards in gear that's often used at camp or in vehicles.
- ✓Each notice below tells owners to stop using the product and follow the firm's remedy (refund, repair or replacement); the Generac notice lists an exception for some units.
In an emergency, call 911.
Check the gear you own against each CPSC notice below. Every recall applies only to the models, date codes or lot numbers CPSC lists. If yours is included, follow the instructions in that CPSC notice, which in each case below starts with stopping use of the product (the Generac notice lists an exception for some units). If your item isn't listed, this roundup doesn't tell you anything about it either way.
This list covers recalls with CPSC recall dates from January 1 through October 31, 2026, for products campers commonly use. Each entry was confirmed on cpsc.gov. Hazard text is quoted or closely paraphrased from CPSC. Contact details are on each CPSC page; we haven't repeated them here, so use the official notice.
